Instagram has made a new update to its stories feature which is probably make users very excited. The photo sharing app has now made it possible for users to reply to stories with either photos or even videos.
The new reply feature will also let users use all the other Instagram camera features like filters, Boomerangs and even stickers to show how the really feel about the original poster.
This photo and video replies feature will show up in a user’s direct inbox, and also with other disappearing content shared in Instagram’s direct messages. The behave the same way disappearing messages do on Instagram, meaning you can see if someone replays them or takes a screenshot
This might not seem like a huge feature update from Instagram but it is likely going to help increase conversational engagement to the to 200+ million Instagram Story users.
The replies to your Story will be sent to your Direct Inbox, as usual. The photos and videos will behave the same way as all disappearing messages do on IG — namely, you can see if someone replays them, or takes a screenshot. This means it’s entirely possible to reply to someone’s Story and carry on a conversation solely with videos and photos.
The new update is available on Instagram version 10.28 for both iOs and Android.
