The 2015 AfricaHackon Conference set for of July 31st

On Friday the 31st of July 2015, AfricaHakon, East Africa’s premier technical computer security in partnership with the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) will be holding one of the biggest conferences in Nairobi. The conference, which will be held at the iHub, will brings together the individual talents of the best and brightest security professionals in the region, through live presentations, engaging discussions and hands on demonstrations.

AfricaHackon houses not just ICT professionals but architects, electrical engineers, designers and business professionals and boast of having a golden opportunity to shape the Information Security space across the continent. They are also experts in a full range of defensive and offensive security topics are well versed in the theoretical aspect of cyber security and masters on the practical and tactical angle of the art.

The event is back this year, happening on 30th July at the iHub following a call for Presentations for #opZeroDay 2015 whose deadline passed on 30th May. According to the organizers, the conference is not meant only for hackers, it is for anyone with an appreciation and fascination with information systems, gadgets and how they can be tinkered with.

The venue of the conference will be at iHub, 4th Bishop Magua Center, Nairobi and tickets are available at Ticket Sasa.  Advance tickets are going for Ksh. 1,500.

On 28th of February 2014, Africa Hackon also organized the first hacking conference in Kenya and it says this year’s idea was to have a conference with real live demonstrations, to educate the community without getting lost in vendor specific agendas, and to finally grow the industry by engaging all parties in the country and Africa as a whole.
