Nokia introduces a wealth of new innovative smartphones at Nairobi showcase
Nokia today announced the arrival of its first 6-inch Lumia smartphones in Kenya, the Nokia Lumia 1520 and the Nokia Lumia 1320. The Nokia Lumia 1520 will be available in black at a recommended retail price (RRP) of KES 69 999, while the Nokia Lumia 1320 will come in yellow, black and white at an RRP of KES 37 999.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 comes with a 1080p Full HD screen with an enhanced start screen featuring an additional 3rd column of live tiles, allowing people to get to their favourite apps faster with less scrolling. Thanks to the 20MP PureView camera with optical image stabilization, oversampling technology and zooming capabilities,people can easily capture and edit high quality pictures and tell better stories. Nokia Lumia 1520 brings personal stories to life with the new Nokia Storyteller and Nokia Camera. The bigger screen also makes it easy to use the Microsoft Office on the go.

For the outstanding video experience, the Nokia Lumia 1520 camera captures full HD video with crystal-clear audio. For the first time, PureView imaging meets HERE maps with the launch of Nokia Storyteller merging the two signature Lumia experiences together seamlessly. Enhanced start screen for seeing more
A third column of the Windows Phone live tiles on Nokia Lumia 1520 allows people to bring more of their important content to the start screenand see more of theircalendar, email, notes and music at a glance.Also, an update to the Nokia Glance screen brings notifications on missed calls and new emails to the standby screen.

Joining the flagship Lumia 1520 is the new Nokia Lumia 1320 which brings many of the high-end Lumia innovations into a 6-inch screen smartphone at a lower price point. The latest imaging features, like Nokia Camera and Nokia Storyteller, the most loved Lumia experiences like the global mapping and location services from HERE all come together to offer consumers a compelling choice in the large screen smartphones.
With the latest apps, the best from Nokia, and the best from Microsoft supported by LTE connections people can make the most out of the screen of Lumia 1320. A wealth of content can be stored in the 7GB free SkyDrive storage or on the micro SD card. And when getting back to the home screen, the third column allows people to see more of the important content at a glance.

A full range of compelling new smartphones
In addition to the new Lumia smartphones, Nokia announced earlier this week the arrival of three new devices based on the Asha Platform, the Nokia Asha 503, 502 and 500. All three handsets build on Nokia’s renowned design and feature a new crystal-clear look; a fusion of ice-like transparency and bold inner color encases each phone to make it both elegant and more durable. Support for 3G is available on the Asha 503, which also includes a 5MP camera and comes with a Dual SIM option.
A new version of the incredibly popular Nokia Asha 205, the Nokia Asha 205 Chat Edition, has also recently arrived in the Kenyan market. The new device brings WhatsApp to a never seen before price point, with the recommended retail price being just KES 6 250.
