TECNO -the leading brand in Africa has won the smartphone of the year award 2019 in the Africa Information Technology & Telecoms Awards (AITTA) concluded recently in Lagos Nigeria.
AITTA awards in its third year now is aimed at rewarding excellence and leading brands in terms of products and services in both African telecoms and technology industry. In this year’s awards, TECNO Spark 3 was the only device from TECNO that was recognized by AITTA.
For a recap, the TECNO Spark 3 is the base model of the fantastic TECNO Spark 3 Pro which was included in the Android Q beta program. Spark 3 features a 6.7-inch, an 8MP selfie camera, 13MP + 2MP rear camera, 3500mAh battery, rear-mounted fingerprint, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that could be boosted a little bit up to 64 via microSD card.
TECNO is under the parent Chinese company, TRANSSION Holdings, which is ranked fourth globally and holds the lead in terms of market share in Africa according to IDC 2018 report.
