ShowMax Pro live-streaming Service Launched for Sports Lovers in Kenya and Nigeria (Available in 40 more countries)
ShowMax is launching a new live-streaming service called ShowMax Pro in Nigeria and Kenya as it celebrates its 5th anniversary.
ShowMax Pro bundles the existing ShowMax entertainment service with music channels, news, and live sport streaming from SuperSport.
ShowMax Pro features all Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, and PSL games, as well as a wide range of other live sports events, including IAAF Athletics, professional boxing, and the “world’s biggest marathons”.
It also has a number of news channels like Africa News, Euronews, and Newzroom Afrika. Music channels are also available, but they’re only two at the moment; Trace Urban, and Trace Gospel.
It features two packages; ShowMax Pro and ShowMax Pro mobile. The latter is catered towards mobile streamers. Like ShowMax Mobile, it only supports one mobile device at a time, and streaming in SD(480p) quality. However, its bundled with the ShowMax Pro benefits including streaming all Premier League, Serie A, PSL, and La Liga games and other sporting events plus the news channels.
ShowMax Pro won’t offer a 14-day trial period like the standard ShowMax subscription. It will be available in more countries in 6-8 weeks, according to the company.
ShowMax Pro Price
ShowMax Pro is a bit expensive than the standard packages. The cheapest package (mobile only) costs KSh 1050 in Kenya and NGN 3200 in Nigeria.
Showmax Pro which can be streamed on Smart TV, laptop, Android TV, Apple TV apps goes for KSh 2100 and NGN 6300 in Kenya and Nigeria, respectively. The base price in USD is $8.99 for Showmax Pro Mobile and $17.99 for Showmax Pro.
