Nokia 8.1 is HMD Global’s First Device To Get Android 10

HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, announced today that they are pushing Android 10 OTA update to Nokia 8.1 smartphones.

That gives Nokia 8.1 users a direct ticket to have a taste of new features that come in tow with Google’s latest Android update that started rolling out in September.

Part of the headline features in Android 10 includes a system-wide dark mode, a new Gesture Navigation system, Live Captions, security, and privacy updates, and smart gestures and replies.

As usual to Nokia phones, the company promises two years of major software updates and three years of security updates – and they have proved it already. Part of the rollout is a promise that the company had stated they would update Nokia 8.1 devices with Q before the year closes.
