Nokia 2.3 is now running Android 10. The device was launched in the Kenyan market in December last year for Ksh.12,300 alongside the Nokia C1.

Out of the box Nokia 2.3 run on Google’s Android 9.0 Pie and with the new update, it becomes the eleventh phone with the latest version of the OS in HMDs portfolio. Others are the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.2, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 4.2, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 2.3 and Nokia 2.2

The update brings gesture navigation, smart reply and improved privacy controls. Users will also be able to enjoy features like Family Link that’s available in the Digital Wellbeing settings and lets parents limit the usage of the device and Focus Mode, which blocks distracting apps. The focus mode is still in Beta though. Other features include dark mode, and smart reply.

Users will also get better security on the Nokia 2.3 as the latest update brought the Android security patch for April to the device. Nokia promises monthly security updates and of course they never disappoint with this.

This Android 10 update came late though as announced by HMD Global earlier this year. Of course this is due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Nokia 2.3 Specs

The Nokia 2.3 has a sizeable 6.2-inch LCD display with 720 x 1520 pixels resolution.

The whole device presents itself in a 19:9 screen to body ratio and comes with a waterdrop notch on the front. The bottom chin is quite broad, which carries the Nokia branding.

The RAM is 2GB and comes with 32GB of internal storage for the storage of media files. On top of that, there is a microSD card slot so you can still expand the storage up to 400GB.

About the processor, this phone is powered by Mediatek’s Quad-core MT6761 Helio A22 chipset which has been seen on several devices at this price point.

The camera is a dual setup composed of a 13MP primary sensor working in tow with a 2MP lens for depth sensing. For selfies, Nokia 2.3 has a 5MP f./2.4 lens placed in a waterdrop notch. Apart from these features, there are also some common ones like Bluetooth & WIFI support, a micro-USB port, LTE support, and a non-removable battery with 4,000mAh in capacity.

It comes in three colors, Cyan Green, Sand, and Charcoal.
