The Infinix S5, a successor to this years Infinix S4 is already out in the market. Infinix launched two variants of the device a couple of weeks ago – Infinix S5 lite that is available in two models; 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB and the Infinix S5 is also available in memory variants; 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.
We got our hands on the 4GB/64GB which is what we are going to unbox this article and also share our quick thoughts about the phone’s specification. Infinx is selling the device at Ksh 16,499.

Infinix S5 Unboxing
The packaging has the usual accessories: The phone itself, a charger head, a pair of earphones, micro-USB Cable, a sim ejector pin, a transparent back cover, and some user manual.
The overall design of the Infinix S5 looks pretty good. It has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display and measures 164 mm x 76 mm x 7.9 mm and weighs 178 grams. The screen resolution is 720 x 1600 pixels with a 266 ppi pixel density.
The exterior looks amazing, with a punch-hole selfie on the top left corner of the display, slim bezels on the sides, and a reduced chin. Thanks to the thin bezels, the phone comes with a 90.5% screen to body ratio. The phone upgrades from the 19:9 aspect ratio in the S4 to now a 20:9 ratio.
The speaker, Charging Port, Microphone and Headphone Jack are all at the bottom.
The volume and power buttons are all on the right side while the opposite side houses separate slots for the two SIM cards and microSD card.
The back houses a quad-camera setup placed in a vertical array consisting of a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP lens that will take care of snapping wide pictures, and also capturing macro detail shots, a 2MP depth sensor, and a QVGA AI lens. It is at the back that we also have the fingerprint sensor.
Other specifications include 4G LTE support, Android 9.0 Pie, Helio P22 SoC, 4,000mAh battery, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
