One of the devices that we were really looking forward to for Infinix Mobile to unveil in the local market was the Infinix NOTE 10 Pro. The NOTE series has particularly been my favorite since I started interacting with devices from Infinix.
With the NOTE 10 Pro, Infinix decided to go big. For example, the phone features a massive 6.95-inch display, one of the biggest displays I have seen on a smartphone. The big body also packs in a huge 5,000mAh battery and we are also getting a not so bad processor.
This, combined with all the other specs that we will be talking about later on, where does the Infinix NOTE 10 Pro stand? Here are our quick thoughts three weeks after spending time with the device.

Infinix NOTE 10 Pro Pricing and Availability
Infinix officially introduced the device in the market in May this year. The NOTE 10 Pro is priced at Ksh.25,999. There is also a NOTE 10 ,128+4 variant that is priced at Ksh 19,299 while the Note 10 64+4 variant is selling at Ksh 17,599. The series has been available since May and includes variations based on customer and market demands. Prices may also vary shop to shop.
Infinix NOTE 10 PRO Design and Display
The NOTE 10 Pro is a pretty good-looking device and has even won an IF Design Award for 2021. It’s a huge phone featuring a massive 6.95-inch display with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio making the smartphone tall and narrow. This also means you can easily use and hold the phone with one hand.
At the top center of the screen, there’s a big camera hole that houses the selfie camera. It’s quite big and I find it distracting.
The frame is made of plastic and just like we have seen with most devices around this price segment, Infinix has also gone with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on this device. Above is where you have the volume buttons. The left side has the SIM tray, while at the bottom is where you have the 3.5mm headphone jack, loudspeaker, and USB Type-C port are at the bottom.
At the back, there’s the rear quad-camera setup located at the top left corner.
The display also features a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. This high refresh rate makes the phone smooth to use. The colours are decent, you get enough brightness even when outdoors. Interacting with content on the screen is quite smooth and good thing is the phone comes with this refresh rate set by default.
Specifications, software, performance, and battery life
Under the Infinix NOTE 10 Pro, there is the MediaTek Helio G95 SoC that we have seen power a number of recent smartphones including TECNO’s flagship device, the Phantom X. This processor has been highly touted as a great processor for gaming.
Combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, the Infinix NOTE 10 Pro handles everything perfectly well. From photography, to simple gaming, socials, everything runs just smooth. Apps launched quickly, multitasking was easy and switching between multiple apps was also very easy.
For the software, the smartphone runs XOS 7.6 on top of Android 11. It comes with a number of preinstalled apps and a few of Infinix’s own apps like Palm Store which is an alternative to the Google Play Store among others.
XOS 7.6 comes with a number of cool features. For example, there’s a Video Assistant feature that lets you swipe in from the side while watching a video in an app such as YouTube allowing you to do other tasks on the phone. Other features include App Lock, XClone, XProof which covers or conceals the phone screen when using it in public. There is also Game Zone, Sound localization, DTS audio processing, Dar-Link Ultimate Game Booster and Thunder Back Mode 2.0 to help you easily switch from one app to another. Another one of my favorite features is “Play in background”, that lets you play the audio from YouTube videos even with the screen off. OK, that’s cool.
The fingerprint scanner on the NOTE 10 Pro is also very quick, with the phone unlocking with just one attempt.
The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery which does a pretty decent job. In the box, Infinix added a 33W charger. The battery is able to last you for more than a day on normal use.
Infinix Note 10 Pro cameras
For the cameras, the Infinix Note 10 Pro features a quad-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera also capable of macros, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel black-and-white camera. The selfie camera is a 16-megapixel shooter.
We are also getting a number of camera modes including AI, Beauty, portrait, Super Night among others. The phone also offers 4K resolution shooting capabilities in both the front and rear cameras.
The shots are pretty decent, and this is something we really emphasized on in our podcast about this phone. If you missed it you can listen to it here. The shots have good details especially during day time. Ultra-wide-angle photos also looked pretty good although not as those taken with the primary sensor.

Should you buy the Infinix NOTE 10 PRO?
This is a good device from Infinix, the best Infinix NOTE the company has ever made. If you listen to the 24Bit podcast we did talking about this phone, you will notice there’s really nothing to complain about the Infinix NOTE 10 PRO.
The huge size might not appeal to everyone but Infinix tried to get everything right. From good performance, good design, very decent cameras and a price tag of Ksh.26,000, the Infinix NOTE 10 PRO is a good buy.
