Huawei Y6S Launching In Kenya Soon
Huawei fans in Kenya will soon have a new device that adds to the already wide-catalog of smartphones the company has in the country. Huawei Y6S was first announced in January this year, and will soon hit the shelves locally as from early next month.
The Y6S succeeds last year’s Y6 Prime, maintaining the budget-sensitive price as its predecessor. The local company says pre-orders will be open as from early next week – on Monday, 24th.
Like in almost all smartphone upgrades, Y6S touches on what consumers pay attention to the most. That majorly touches on the chip processing power, camera, and a little bit of betterment in terms of design. Plus, not forgetting more memory and storage capabilities.
Huawei is running a price guess competition for the device and those who get it righ will win the device.
The phone comes with a 6-inch display, 3GB of memory, and 64GB of onboard storage. Pre-orders run through March 3rd. For the early birds, Huawei will have a gift hamper worth Ksh 1,000.
The phone will officially go on sale across Huawei branded retail stores across the country on March 4th.
Regarding Google Mobile Services, Huawei has been vocal, saying this phone will have it out of the box.
“We are excited to introduce another device in the Y series family under the entry-level category. As part of our strategy to dominate the market, we are focusing on bringing devices that have better specifications at an affordable rate, and Huawei Y6s is among the entry-level game-changers,” said Huawei Mobile Kenya Country Head, Jim.
