Education CS George Magoha announced the marking of KCPE is almost done, with results expected to be released this week. Possibly today or on Thursday.
Almost 1.2 million students sat for KCPE and the release of the results according to the CS will be dependent on the availability of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
That aside, students who sat for the exams can check their results by sending their index numbers to 20076 from their Telkom line once they’re released and receive a confirmation message.
The entire process is pretty simple:
- Open a new message
- Enter the candidate’s index number
- Send the index number to shortcode 20076
- Receive a confirmation message.

Update: The ministry of education has confirmed the results will be released next week and not this week as we had earlier reported.
