Apple AirPods Pro Launched With Active Noise Cancellation Going for $249

Apple fans, your beloved company Apple has a new set of AirPods. The new AirPods are called the AirPods Pro and have several improvements over the previous generation AirPods. The design has been altered, too, and they might fit in your ears even better.

First and foremost, it is great news seeing that this year’s AirPods Pro are the first of Apple’s wireless earphones to feature active noise cancellation. Exteriorly they come in three different sizes of soft, flexible silicone ear tips for comfort while having them on your ears.

Another new feature is “Transparency mode,” which allows some external sound to enter while listening to audio. This is applicable while you’re in traffic or any other place that you wish to listen to the external noise as well as pay attention to your audio.

In addition to that, Apple also says the new AirPods are both sweat and water-resistant. Sound quality is also improved thanks to AirPods Pro’s Adaptive EQ that Apple says, “tunes music to the shape of your ear for a rich, consistent listening experience.”

Like the previous AirPods, the battery life is identical – up to five hours of listening time on a single charge (without active noise cancellation). Add ANC, and the AirPods Pro listening time depreciates a bit – up to four and a half hours of listening time and up to three and a half hours of talk time on a single charge.

The earphones ship along with a Wireless Charging Case that will make the AirPods Pro deliver over 24 hours of listening time through additional charges.

Under the helm is Apple’s H1 chip that brings similar functionality like always-on voice recognition similar to what you get with the newly announced Beats Solo Pro headphones.

However, the cable in the box is Lightning to USB-C, unlike the regular USB that shipped with the regular AirPods.

AirPods Pro will be selling for $249 (approx. Ksh 25,000) and will be available starting Nov. 30th in the US. Locally, buy some time before you check with Apple dealers for the same.
