Huawei Mobile launches Four mid-range devices in Kenya


Huawei Mobile has unveiled four smartphones in the Kenyan market; Huawei Y311, Y511, Y611, and GR5mini. This launch, the company says is part of its strategy to tap into the lucrative youth segment and at the same time grow its market share.

Speaking at the launch Mark Hemaobin, the General Manager, Huawei Mobile Kenya described the youth market as untapped with a great potential for Huawei to continue positioning various products and services to this target group. The company’s strategy is focused on embedding powerful features in the mid-range devices at an affordable price to accommodate consumers’ lifestyle.

He added that offering unique features on a device that are able to seamlessly fit within consumers’ lifestyle at an affordable price are key elements of Huawei Mobile’s marketing strategy in the mid-range level.

The four new devices will retail between Kshs 7,999 to Kshs 19,999.

During the launch, Huawei Mobile also Huawei Mobile has rolled out Light up with color campaign that will see it traverse different universities Kenya in a bid to attract university students to engage and interact with Huawei and in turn purchase Huawei smartphones.

Huawei says the Light up with color  campaign has been specially designed to engage today’s youth to truly enjoy life in color and music, anytime, anywhere, leveraging the unique features of the Huawei Y series range of phones.

The four new devices will retail between Kshs 7,999 to Kshs 19,999.
