Dan Kwach exits Africa Data Centres after 19-year tenure

Dan Kwach, a veteran executive at Africa Data Centres (ADC), has announced his departure from the firm, ending a nearly two-decade tenure that saw him play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s digital infrastructure.

Kwach, who has been instrumental in the company’s operations across East Africa, confirmed his exit in a statement on his LinkedIn page, marking the conclusion of a 19-year gig characterized by significant corporate transformations.

In his farewell message, Kwach revealed he had received the “blessings to exit” the organization, which is a subsidiary of the pan-African technology group, Cassava Technologies.

“After 19 years at the organisation that’s been part of my professional journey and gone through various transformations, I confirm having got the blessings to exit from Africa Data Centres,” Kwach stated.

He indicated that he is moving on to a new position, though he did not disclose specific details, only clarifying that his next chapter will be outside his current parent company.

“The humbling words of encouragement from all of you have really helped me garner the strength and courage to move on as I transition to my next role outside of Cassava Technologies group,” he added.

During his tenure, Kwach witnessed the evolution of the company through various phases, likely alluding to the company’s growth trajectory involving Liquid Intelligent Technologies and the subsequent carving out of Africa Data Centres as an independent entity.

Reflecting on his legacy, Kwach highlighted his team’s success in attracting major global players to the continent.

“We not only built the richest digital ecosystem but also brought global cloud partners in this continent that is home,” he said. “To all our customers and partners alike, you’ve indeed been the very fuel that’s kept us pushing on and scaling up.”

Africa Data Centres has not yet announced a successor for his role.
