Adrian Kenya Launches its Fibre Infrastructure Relocation project
Adrian Kenya yesterday officially launched its Fibre Infrastructure Relocation project along the Nairobi – Mau Summit Road.
Adrian Kenya which provides technology and infrastructure solutions with operations in Telecommunications, ICT and Energy sectors secured the contract to design, supply, deliver, install, test, commission and maintain the fibre optic cable for the Rironi – Naivasha section (Lot 2) of the Nairobi – Mau Summit Highway. Awarded through the State Department of ICT and Innovation, the project will see the relocation of fibre optic infrastructure ahead of the expansion and construction of the Nairobi – Mau Summit dual carriageway.
“We are proud as a Kenyan company to be bringing together our engineering and project management expertise to deliver on this project. In our execution, we shall employ approximately 350 youths from the regions where the projects will take place.” Mr. Benard W. Njoroge Adrian Kenya’s MD and Founder said.
Adrian Kenya is a trusted deployment partner for private and public entities having successfully completed hundreds of telecom and ICT projects inclusive of the construction of 1000 base tower stations, maintenance of 1000 network towers. The company has also connected over 3000 business clients to fixed data, deployed over 2000kms of fibre in the country and currently supports over 56,000 home fibre customers.
The company has worked with companies such as Safaricom, Kenya Power, the University of Nairobi among others.
The launch ceremony was attended by Mr. Jerome Ochieng, PS – State Department of ICT & Innovation, Mr. Lyford Murithi Deputy Director ICT, and Mr. Timothy Were Deputy Director ICT.
With the country witnessing an increase in road construction, utility connections such as power, water as well as fibre cables tend to encounter disconnections hampering access to the much-needed services by citizens during the construction period.
“We’re working as a very coordinated multiagency government unit, involving various ministries, to ensure that when a project commences all stakeholders are brought on board to eliminate disruptions and disconnections. The contractors for this project will be working with a strict timeline of 6 weeks to pave way for the dual carriage that is due to commence in September this year.” PS Jerome Ochieng said.
