TECNO is preparing to launch its next flagship Camon 17 series in Kenya. As expected, the series will feature several variants. One of them is the Camon 17 Pro, successor to the Camon 16 Pro.

The camera has been an important feature for the Camon series, and the next lineup will also pay immense focus to this.

The company teases Camon 17 Pro’s selfie camera as the clearest they’ve ever included in a device. The launch will go deeper into why the selfie camera matters in a ‘Rise of the Selfie’ documentary.

Rise of the selfie will showcase the history, rising, and the story behind selfies and the impact on smartphone usage in the present day.

The development of the Camon 17 Pro paid immense focus on the selfie camera to keep up with the demands of smartphone users, the company says.

This rising demand is supported by research firm Counterpoint Research in its recent white paper detailing changing consumer behavior in using smartphones.

Selfies are important than ever, as more people stay at home and do most of their activities on the internet, including socializing.

Counterpoint says the demand for selfies is driven by the need for people to share what they’re up to, not just with friends privately but on social media as well.

TECNO Mobile is, consequently, on the move to meet these demands by introducing the Camon 17 Pro, which promises major improvements in selfie camera performance.

TECNO Camon 17 Pro is anticipated to launch soon in an online-only event. The event will feature Chris Evans, or Captain America in the Marvel series of movies, the company’s new brand Ambassador.
