Yango and Flutterwave Partner to Drive Cashless Payments in Zambia

Global tech firm Yango Group has announced a strategic partnership between its service platform, Yango, and Africa’s leading payment provider, Flutterwave.

The collaboration focuses on enhancing the safety and ease of digital payments for food delivery and ride-hailing services in Zambia. By utilizing Flutterwave’s robust payment infrastructure, Yango aims to reduce transaction friction and promote financial inclusion, further solidifying its presence in the region’s growing digital marketplace.

Through this partnership, Yango users can now complete payments using bank cards powered by Flutterwave’s secure systems. This collaboration comes as Zambia experiences a surge in digital commerce adoption, particularly within the food delivery and online service sectors. By integrating Flutterwave’s established fintech solutions, Yango enhances transaction security, boosts payment reliability, and enables scalable growth as more customers and restaurant partners transition to cashless payments.

Kabanda Chewe, Yango Zambia Country Head, commented on the partnership: “At Yango, we are focused on making our service delivery more convenient, secure, and accessible for our customers and restaurant partners. Partnering with Flutterwave allows us to strengthen our digital payment capabilities while supporting Zambia’s transition toward a more digitally enabled economy. This is a vital step in improving the overall customer experience and helping restaurants grow through reliable digital transactions.”

Iyembi Nkanza, Country Head at Flutterwave, added “Our partnership with Yango represents Flutterwave’s commitment to making payments seamless and accessible across Africa. By integrating our payment infrastructure with Yango’s platform, we’re empowering Zambians with secure, convenient options that remove friction from everyday transactions. This is exactly the kind of innovation that drives financial inclusion forward.”
