Liquid Intelligent Technologies (Liquid), a business of Cassava Technologies, has officially appointed Neeraj Pradhan as the Chief Executive Officer of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Kenya.
Pradhan’s confirmation follows a successful tenure as Acting CEO since March 2025, during which he steered the company’s strategic and commercial direction in a highly competitive market.
A veteran of the company, he originally joined Liquid Kenya in 2016 as General Manager of Sales, rising through the ranks to Regional Chief Commercial Officer for East Africa before taking the helm.
Wellington Makamure, CEO of Sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa) at Cassava Technologies, emphasized that Pradhan’s deep institutional knowledge made him the natural choice.
“Neeraj brings exceptional leadership experience, deep regional insight, and strong commercial acumen that make him the ideal choice to lead our Kenyan business,” said Makamure. “His proven ability to drive growth, develop winning teams, and deliver customer-centric solutions positions Liquid Kenya for continued success in one of our most strategic markets.”
The leadership transition coincides with a major technological leap for the group. Cassava Technologies recently announced strategic investments to launch Africa’s first network GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS). This initiative, backed by partnerships with global tech giants like NVIDIA, aims to provide the high-performance computing power necessary for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning workloads directly from the continent.
In his acceptance statement, Pradhan highlighted this shift from pure connectivity to advanced digital services as a key priority for his tenure.
“Liquid has always been at the forefront of delivering innovative, reliable, and scalable technology solutions across Africa, and now, through Cassava Technologies, we’re establishing Africa’s first network GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offering,” Pradhan stated.
He added, “I’m honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading Kenyan operations of the company, and look forward to working with our talented team, partners, and customers as we build on this strong foundation and deliver world-class digital infrastructure and technology solutions for businesses and communities across the country.”
Pradhan’s leadership is expected to drive the local execution of Cassava Technologies’ broader vision: a digitally connected Africa that leaves no one behind. By integrating the new GPUaaS offering with Liquid’s extensive fiber network, the company aims to lower the barrier to entry for Kenyan enterprises and startups looking to leverage AI, reducing the reliance on offshore cloud providers.
