Top 10 Startups Revealed for Latitude59 Kenya Pitch Finals

The organizers of Latitude59 Kenya have officially unveiled the Top 10 startups selected to compete in the final stage of this year’s Pitch Competition, narrowing the field from a highly competitive pool of over 200 applications across 27 countries.

The finalists will take the stage at the A.S.K Dome in Nairobi between December 3-5, showcasing innovations ranging from AI-powered carbon measurement and smart-locker infrastructure to circular pet nutrition and clean aquatic protein.

The competition is a central feature of the Latitude59 Kenya Edition 2025, which aims to gather 3,000 impact-makers from Africa, Europe, and beyond.

The selected startups represent a diverse cross-section of Africa’s emerging tech ecosystem:

  • Acre Insights: Drone- and AI-powered carbon measurement.
  • Beba-Beggie: Automated smart-locker infrastructure.
  • LimaBot AI: AI-driven crop health platforms.
  • LOOP Pet Food: Circular pet nutrition solutions.
  • Mediakits.io: Influencer tooling and creator economy tech.
  • MyItura: Healthcare operations software.
  • PaydHQ: Payments and financial tools for freelancers/creators.
  • ProPath Sports: Sports technology and talent management.
  • RUN: (Details to be showcased at event).
  • Vertical Lake: Clean aquatic protein for sustainable food systems.

The stakes are high for this year’s cohort. Nick Vilelle, founder of the Nairobi Business Angel Network (NaiBAN), confirmed that local investors are actively looking to deploy capital during the event.

“It is because of these type of founders that we formed our network – so that we can be the first investors to back these innovative and game-changing technologies,” Vilelle said. “We’re eager to write a check next week and join the journey of one of these inspirational founders.”

Triin Ilves, Head of Startup Relations at Latitude59, noted that the selection process was incredibly rigorous due to the high “level of execution” from applicants. “These teams aren’t just building impressive tech; they’re bringing clarity, speed and global ambition,” she said.

The event will also feature the Digital & Green Innovation (DGI) Summit Africa, built on the momentum of the EU–Africa digital partnership.

Attendees can expect insights from a high-profile speaker lineup, including Taavi Kotka, a key architect behind Estonia’s transformation into a digital superpower, and Dr. Myriam Sidibé, a global leader in public health. They will be joined by regional operators like David Nandwa (Honeycoin), Vinod Goel (Jumia East Africa), and Chisom Anoke (Yango).

“We’ve designed the program so founders walk away with something real, clarity, connections, and the kind of practical know-how that moves companies forward,” added Liisi Org, CEO of Latitude59.
