Daikin, a global leader in air conditioning manufacturing, has officially opened its new office in Nairobi, located on the 8th floor of One Africa Place.
The new office features a state-of-the-art showroom designed to showcase Daikin’s product innovations and solutions while serving as a platform to reinforce the company’s commitment to quality and excellence in the HVAC market. It will also support marketing and promotional activities for Daikin’s wide range of products.
Speaking at a press briefing in Nairobi, Mr. KJ Jawa, CMD of Daikin India and Board Member of DIL, emphasized the company’s strategy to adopt a more aggressive approach in Africa. He noted that the new office represents a significant step toward strengthening Daikin’s efforts to capture a larger share of the continent’s HVAC market.
“Daikin takes a major step forward in strengthening its leadership in the industry, catering to the growing demand for cutting-edge, eco-friendly air conditioning solutions globally. More than just increasing capacity, our investment reflects our long-term vision to drive excellence, foster strategic partnerships, and contribute to Africa’s evolving landscape, ensuring shared success for all stakeholders,” he said.
Mr. Junichi Omori, General Manager of Daikin’s Global Operations Division, expressed confidence in the company’s ability to accelerate its expansion across Africa. He added that the Nairobi office highlights Daikin’s mission to enhance its market share and industry leadership.
“Our commitment remains steadfast in delivering an exceptional consumer experience, powered by a highly skilled sales, service, and maintenance network, supported by our dedicated dealer partners and employees. The African market has demonstrated remarkable momentum in the past year, and we project it to grow into a multibillion-dollar opportunity going forward. This is why Daikin is planning to introduce a range of Africa-specific products while significantly expanding our dealer network across the continent,” he explained.
Daikin further assured its commitment to investing heavily in marketing, customer engagement, and dealer development to secure a leadership position in Africa and surpass existing competitors within the next year.
