Dubai International Airport has announced a groundbreaking innovation, the world’s first AI-powered passenger corridor, which uses advanced artificial intelligence and biometric recognition to verify travelers.
The smart travel system allows passengers to walk through passport control in seconds, with no documents required.
Between August 13 and 25, the airport expects more than 3.6 million passengers. The timing of this innovation couldn’t be better, as it helps ease congestion while ensuring faster, smoother journeys.
Nicknamed the “Red Carpet,” the corridor can process up to 10 passengers simultaneously, instantly verifying their identities using AI and flagging unusual cases for manual security checks.
This system ensures both safety and speed, making Dubai Airport one of the most advanced in the world. Traditional immigration counters process passengers one by one, leading to long queues. The new AI-powered corridor will prevent bottlenecks at immigration, double passenger processing capacity, and further enhance Dubai’s reputation as a global smart travel hub.
For passengers, this innovation means less waiting, smoother connections, and a futuristic travel experience.
With this move, Dubai International Airport is taking a bold step toward the future of aviation—where efficiency, innovation, comfort, and security converge.
