OPPO Reno13 F 5G and 4G Launched in Kenya: Specs, Features and Pricing

OPPO officially launched the Reno13 F series, introducing the OPPO Reno13 5G and Reno13 F 4G. These incredible smartphones combine cutting-edge technologies, stunning designs, and powerful performance under one roof.

Design and Display: Premium Aesthetics with High Refresh Rates

The Reno13 F 5G and 4G both come with a 6.67-inch AMOLED displays featuring a 120Hz refresh rate to allow for smooth scrolling and vivid colors. The displays can reach a peak brightness of 2100 nits, thus making them easy to see under bright sunlight. Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2 affords protection against scratches and drops.

While the two are almost identical in dimensions, Reno13 F 5G weighs in a little heavier at 177g, while the 4G is a lighter at 176g. Both hold IP68 and IP69 certifications, thus rendering them dust-tight and resistant to high-pressure water jets and submersion in water to a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes – a first for OPPO’s Reno series.

Performance & Connectivity: 5G vs 4G Processing Power

Processing power and network support stand out as the major differentiators among these models:

The OPPO Reno13 F 5G includes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, allowing for 5G connectivity with better speed and efficiency. It is available in either 8GB RAM or 12GB RAM models, with either 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The OPPO Reno13 F 4G runs on a MediaTek Helio G100 processor and operates on 4G LTE networks. It is available with 8GB RAM with either 256 GB or 512 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.

Both smartphones operate on Android 15 with OPPO’s custom ColorOS 15, providing a user-friendly interface with enhanced customization options.

Camera Capabilities: Flagship-Level Imaging

Both of these models also have a pretty remarkable triple-camera system:

  • 50MP Main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for sharper photos
  • 8MP ultra-wide camera with a 112-degree field of view.
  • The 2MP macro camera helps with close-up photography.
  • Both also sport a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies, but the Reno13 F 5G is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30fps in comparison to the 4G model that is limited to 1080p at 30/60fps.

Battery and Charging: SuperVOOC Fast Charging

Both phones sport 5800 mAh batteries that support 45W SuperVOOC flash charging. According to OPPO, a 30-minute charge will give 44% battery life for users from morning to night.

Color Options

Both models come in Graphite Grey and Stargaze Purple, while Reno3 F 5G introduces a special Luminous Blue.

Availability and Pricing

Reno13 F series starting price is Ksh.37,999 for the 4G version while the 5G version goes for Ksh 57,999 and will be available nationwide and in all OPPO shops and ecommerce platforms from March 1st.
