Samsung Galaxy A56 Features: Everything We Know So Far
Samsung has a packed schedule this year—from launching new gadgets at CES 2025 like the Frame Pro to the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2025 and the expected refresh of its A-series with the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy A56.
Samsung Galaxy A56 will come with curved edges, slim bezels, a punch-hole camera, and a new redesign to the camera module, which now sports a raised Key Islands hosting the rear lenses located at the top right.
The phone will have a 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 6.6-inch screen with FHD+ resolution and up to 1500 nits in peak brightness. Gorilla Glass Victus+ will protect it. It will also have Always-on display.
Samsung Galaxy A56 will have the company’s Exynos 1580 processor with RAM configuration starting at 8GB and 12GB and storage starting at 128GB and 256GB. It will run on Android 15 and OneUI 7 like the flagship S25 series. It will likely get up to four Android OS upgrades. It is unknown if it will sport Galaxy AI
It will have a 50MP main with OIS support, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP depth sensor for optics. The selfie camera gets downgraded from 32MP to 12MP. All of the cameras can shoot 4K video capped at 30fps.
Samsung Galaxy A56 will have a 5000mAh battery and upgraded charging speeds – from 25W to 45W.
The A55 will have IP67 ingress protection and an aluminum frame and glass back protected by Gorilla Glass. It will come in Navy, Lilac, Lemon, and Ice Blue colours.
For audio, the A55 will have stereo speakers.
It remains to be seen if Samsung will maintain the pricing as the A55 which started at Ksh 52,000 for the base model.
