Infinix’s Upcoming Smartphone Will Be Its Most Slimmest Yet


Infinix is set to announce its most slimmest smartphone yet in the country before the month ends. The new device from the company, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ Kenya will be under 7mm in thickness.

The phone will be the latest smartphone in its entry-level series – the Hot 50 lineup from the company.

The company recently unveiled the Hot 50i [Full Review coming soon] for the Kenyan market and now its bigger sibling will soon join it in retailers shelves. The Hot 50 Pro+ shares the same sleek profile but is now thinner at 6.8mm and weighing at 162grams.

The Hot 50 Pro+ also has a curved back and curved screen to differentiate it from the Hot 50i. Slimmer smartphones have now been made possible thanks to advancements in Silicon-Carbide (SiC) battery technology have not only enabled thinner smartphones but also higher mAh capacities, leading manufacturers like Infinix to focus on sleek designs and powerful battery performance.

The Infinix Hot 50 Pro+ ships with Mediatek Helio G100 paired with 8GB onboard RAM and 256GB storage. It will be powered by Android 14 l, XOS 14.5(Upgradeable to Android 15) and Infinix Al O with AI Eraser, AI Cutouts, AI Wallpaper and more. Other features include a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate featuring Corning Gorilla Glass protection, 100% DCI-P3 and 1300 nits peak brightness.

It will have a 50MP triple rear camera setup plus a 32MP selfie camera as well. Other features include an indisplay fingerprint reader and dual speakers powered by JBL sound.

It will sport a 5000mAh battery and support 33W Type-C charging. Colour options will range from Starfalk Green, Palm Blue, Horizon Gold, and Starlit Black.

The phone is already up for preorder at Infinix and its official retail partners – you can deposit Ksh 5000 for the 16GB RAM/256GB storage version and the pre-order package will come with an Infinix Watch XW1 smartwatch.

The new Infinix Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ smartphone, with its sleek design and advanced battery technology, may lead a trend towards ultra-thin devices, appealing to style-focused users in a crowded market.

Retail price is expected to start from Ksh 25,999.
