Binance Expands Crypto Purchases Via Mobile Money in West and Central Africa

Binance has announced the integration of mobile money payments for crypto purchases across Benin, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, DRC, Togo, and Senegal.

This comes just two months after the crypto exchange company also rolled out the feature for users in Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.

The company says this new feature marks a significant step toward financial inclusion in these regions, enabling millions of people to easily access the digital economy through secure and simplified transactions.

“We remain focused on advancing financial inclusion and delivering user-friendly solutions for crypto adoption across Africa. ” Samantha Fuller, Spokeswoman for Binance says.

”This expansion into West and Central Africa is a significant step in our mission to increase crypto adoption, providing millions of people with more direct access to the global digital economy”.

This new service currently supports only BUY transactions, further simplifying the entry point for new crypto users in these regions, while providing them with a reliable and secure platform to acquire digital assets.

Binance adds that this new functionality further strengthens its commitment to providing simple and secure access to cryptocurrency for users across the continent, reinforcing the platform’s vision of financial inclusion.
