OPPO Reno12 5G Camera Review: Almost Flagship Performance

OPPO Reno12 5G is the country’s latest midrange smartphone, and we’ve taken it through its paces over the past few weeks. Our full review is out now – READ IT HERE.

The Reno12 5G is a beast for the casual user or a heavy multitasker. It is also a very competent performer when it comes to photography. The phone sports a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro. Selfies are taken care of by a 32MP front-facing camera. The primary cameras and the selfie cameras can shoot 4K video too.

Multiple modes to play around include Pro, Portrait, Dual-View Video, Night, Hi-Res(50MP), Timelapse, Pano, and Slow Mo. Photos taken by the OPPO Reno12 5G look sharp, bright, and detailed even in low light. The portraits and videos look good for posting on social media. The dynamic range and background blur are also excellent, as you’ll see from the sample photos, especially outdoors. The colors are natural which a lot of you will love. While we don’t get a telephoto lens, the 2X digital zoom shots turned out decent for my liking.

OPPO Reno12 5G has AI features across its operating system, some of which are accessible in photos, such as AI Eraser, which has a handy “Remove People” tool for deleting people from your shot.
