LOOP, OPPO partner to offer financing for the new Reno12 devices


LOOP by LOOP DFS a Fintech subsidiary of the NCBA Group has partnered with OPPO to offer financing for the recently launched OPPO Reno12 series of devices.

The offering will see LOOP provide a cashback offer of 10%, up to KES 6,000, for purchases of the Reno 12 Series above KES 14,499. This offer is available for purchases made through the LOOP Card or LOOP App. (The LOOP app is available for download for Android devices on the PlayStore and IOS devices on the Apple Store.)

Speaking at the OPPO Reno12 series launch, Sheila Kimani, the Chief Commercial Officer at Loop DFS, emphasized the importance of the new partnership between LOOP and OPPO. She explained that this collaboration is a strategic move aimed at making high-quality devices more accessible to a broader audience.

Kimani noted that the ever-increasing financial barriers often prevent many people from upgrading to or owning modern smartphones.

By partnering with OPPO, LOOP DFS hopes to bridge this gap and provide more people with the opportunity to own advanced devices without the burden of hefty upfront costs.

‘’As we move forward in this partnership, I am confident that we will continue to break new ground and set new standards on what is possible when technology as well as financial empowerment come together,’’ she said. 

At the launch, Sheila also revealed that LOOP DFS will be launching several customer-centric credit facilities and device financing solutions for its customers.

The OPPO Reno12 and Reno12 F will be available for pre-order from August 23 to September 1, 2024. The Reno12 is priced at Ksh 69,999, and the Reno12 F at Ksh 49,999. Pre-orders can be made through the OPPO Kenya website, e-commerce partners, LOOP, and OPPO physical stores nationwide.
