BNI Convention Unites African Entrepreneurs for Insightful Collaborations


The BNI Convention held in Naivasha on Friday, 16th August 2024, brought together over 400 entrepreneurs and business leaders from across Africa and beyond for a day of networking, learning, and growth. The event, hosted by BNI Kenya was a remarkable success, fostering deeper connections and inspiring new strategies for business development in the region.

BNI is the world’s largest business networking and referral organization, providing a positive, supportive, and structured environment for professionals to further their business through word-of-mouth marketing. 

“In today’s interconnected world, the strength of our businesses lies in the strength of our networks. This convention has demonstrated that by leveraging the power of relationships, we can unlock new opportunities, drive innovation, and build resilient enterprises that transcend borders.” Said Elizaphan Muraguri, BNI National Director, Kenya.

“This convention has showcased the power of collaboration and the incredible potential within our network. By coming together, we are not just building businesses, but we are also shaping the future of African entrepreneurship.” He added.

Present at the event was Chief, Annastacia Kimtai, MD, KCB Kenya who said that The BNI Convention serves as a pivotal gathering for African entrepreneurs and business leaders, reinforcing the importance of collaboration and cross-border networking. 

“As businesses across the continent continue to seek growth and expansion, financial institutions play a critical role in supporting these endeavors. As banks, we are deeply committed to supporting African businesses in their growth journeys. Our goal is to empower enterprises across the continent by providing the financial tools and resources they need to thrive. The collaboration and connections fostered through platforms like BNI are vital in creating a robust, integrated market that will drive sustainable economic development across Africa.” Said Kimtai.

Also present at the event was Diana Nansiima, BNI National Director Uganda,  who emphasized the critical role of networking in fostering cross-border trade, noting, “Networking is the catalyst for economic growth and collaboration across Africa. Through the connections made here today, we are not only expanding our individual businesses but also contributing to the larger vision of a more integrated and prosperous African market.”

 “The energy and innovation we’ve witnessed here today reaffirm the strength of the BNI community in Africa. The knowledge shared and the relationships built will undoubtedly lead to significant growth and opportunities for all involved.” She added.

The convention featured a series of workshops, keynote speeches, and networking sessions, all designed to equip attendees with the tools and insights needed to thrive in today’s dynamic business environment.
