Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 with 1.6-inch display, IP68 rating officially launched

Samsung Galaxy Fit3: Samsung has officially announced the release of the Galaxy Fit3, its newest fitness tracker that the company says democratizes its advanced health monitoring technology.

The Galaxy Fit3 is Samsung’s latest wearable device and boasts an aluminum body with a wider display, allowing users to keep track of their health and wellness data — from daily workouts to peaceful sleep — straight from their wrists, around the clock.

The fitness tracker is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Fit2 featuring a 1.6-inch display, up to 13 days of battery life, health modes, a 5ATM rating and IP68 among several other features.

“In this new era of wellness, users desire a more comprehensive understanding of their health and Samsung has committed to providing users with advanced health monitoring tools to help them along their wellness journey,” said  Antony Hutia Head of Mobile Division [MX] Samsung East Africa.

“As our newest fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit3 underscores our commitment to providing accessible resources that encourage everyday wellness and inspire everyone to work on their best self.”

It sports a 1.6-inch display and Samsung highlights that it is 45 percent wider than Galaxy Fit2, which came with a 1.1-inch screen.

With the Samsung Galaxy Fit3, users can personalise their tracker by choosing from over 100 preset watch faces or setting their photos as backgrounds. The device is also the perfect health/sleep coach as it can track sleep patterns, snoring, heart rate, stress levels, and blood oxygen levels, and also provides personalised Sleep Coaching based on individual sleep data.

Users can track over 100 types of workouts and review their exercise records to stay motivated with the newly launched Galaxy Fit3.

Samsung has also added new safety features like Fall Detection and Emergency SOS to offer users added security.

The Samsung Galaxy Fit3 can be used as a controller for smartphone functions, including remotely controlling the camera, setting timers, and managing media playback on connected devices. Samsung claims that the fitness tracker offers a battery life of up to 13 days.
