Cyber attacks have increased over the past years, taking different forms at every turn. Their evolving nature places organizations at the edge, not knowing exactly where the next one might come from or what medium it might take.
Although organizations are more alert to cyber attacks today, the danger is always lurking somewhere, from within and from without.
Konvergenz Network Solutions, a leading technology company operating in the East African region has introduced, Zero Trust, a cyber security program that aims to analyze numerous possible threats and risk concerns within financial & corporate environments.
The company says that Zero Trust is as “a security approach or philosophy that approaches IT security from perimeter-centric approach to identity-centric approach.”
The program is offered in collaboration with identity solutions company SailPoint.
According to Abdullahi Sheikh Founder & CEO of Konvergenz Network Solutions, Zero Trust analyses the IT security threat from the understanding that “no user should automatically be trusted, whether operating inside or outside of an organization’s network.”
From this perspective, Sheikh opines, users can only gain access to resources once they’ve been fully authorized.”
The program proses a thorough process through which users should be allowed access to various resources that are at risk.
“Zero trust is designed for the scale, velocity, and complexities of today’s hybrid enterprises so that they can confidently advance with emerging technologies and transformative risk management principles that can build more resilient security practices”. Mr Hans Robert of SailPoint Technologies added.
The company hopes that its approach to cyber security can enable large enterprises to handle the threats emanating from modern cyber security challenges.
