WhatsApp is testing an Undo Button help you recover deleted messages
WhatsApp commands a top spot among the world’s most popular messaging apps. Even with a number of competitors hotly contesting the spot, the platform has maintained a healthy lead.
The meta-owned messaging app has continued to improve its customer experience, constantly updating its service and launching new tools.
Reports now indicate that the platform is testing an undo button which will go a long in retrieving deleted texts. You can retrieve a message that you deleted and sent unintentionally to someone else. However, users cannot retrieve messages in the current configuration.’
The undo button will display as soon as a user selects the “delete for me” option, allowing you to change the actions you intend to take. This is a timely addition to the popular app and it’s expected to enhance the user experience.
To activate this feature, users must update to the most recent WhatsApp version, although this feature is currently only in beta.
Another development introduced on the platform recently is a native desktop app for Windows and there are all indications that the messaging service is developing a similar product for Mac users.
The desktop app will work alongside WhatsApp Web, an app for browsers, and WhatsApp Desktop, a web-based desktop app.
