Kendi Ntwiga Appointed Global Head of Misrepresentation at Meta
Kendi Ntwiga, a distinguished leader in the ICT sector who’s worked at top level multinationals has been appointed Global Head of Misrepresentation at Meta (formerly Facebook). Ntwiga is the Former Country Leader at Microsoft Kenya, a position she relinquished in April 2022.
In her new role, Ntwiga who will be based in Ireland will lead Meta’s Misrepresentation team in global operations in scaling the enforcement of the company’s community standards. She will also work with various teams such as Engineering and Product Development to oversee projects from inception to launch.
Ntwiga has worked in leadership roles at tech companies such as HP, Oracle and Intel. She worked as General Manager of the East, West, and Central Africa Cluster at Check Point Software Technologies.
Her outstanding performance led to recognition as an Emerging Leader in Innovation and Entrepreneurship by the US government through the TechWomen program. In 2019, she was named Top 40 under 40 woman leaders in Kenya.
Ntwiga is the founder of She-Goes-Tech, an initiative that mentors young girls and women to take up STEM courses and pursue STEM careers.
She studied Computer Science and holds a degree in International Business Management. She is also a Santander African Women Foundation Fellow, having studied entrepreneurial leadership at Babson College, USA.
