Hylo is a Kenyan platform connecting buyers and sellers within the same location

Kenyan tech startup Mangochip has unveiled a new platform to connect buyers and sellers in what it says is the simplest way. Known as Hylo, Mangochip says the platform will change how Kenyan entrepreneurs do business and how consumers shop.

There are two apps under this platform namely: Hylo Vendor aimed at small business owners to list their goods and services, and Hylo at consumers of the goods and services on offer.

Hylo works on the “Hyper Local” model where consumers can purchase whatever product or service they need within a 4km radius of their location.

The consumer app is available on Google Playstore for android users. Mangochip says the iOS version of the app will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

The startup has already onboarded vendors in Parklands, Westlands, Ngara, and CBD areas.

With the vendor onboarding process still in progress within the mentioned areas, Mangochip says the plan is to have the whole County fully covered and then expand beyond the Capital.

The company has ZERO charges for vendors who list their businesses and does not also take a commission off their sales.

You can download the app on from your Android phone here.
