Itel Expands Product Offerings into Wearables and Home Appliances

...there's also a tv and laptop

Itel is hosting its grand launch this week, with the company preparing to launch its new S16 series phones and a couple of other products in Kenya

The launch will see the company launch a new internet of things devices. For now, the company says they will launch a new TV alongside a slew of wearable devices.

Multiple teasers posted on the company’s Facebook page reveal what itel might launch. From the recent poster, itel might be introducing a smart band, smart speaker, laptop, wireless earbuds and what seems like a power bank.

Also, in the teaser, we can spot a TV set, a soundbar and, of course, its upcoming itel S16 phone.

All of these products fit in the vague “home appliances and wearable devices” teaser sent to us by the company.

Itel says it’s been common for smartphone companies to venture into IoT – and so the company is in the race as well.

Itel’s strategy, however, is to ensure that consumers can acquire these IoT devices without denting their wallets.

“With itel onboard, there will be that more and more electronic products which will be enjoyed within a budget-friendly price range,” the company said in a statement.

Itel products will now be available online on Jumia, Xpark and Kilimall.

The company’s launch will be held live on KTN Home as well as their Facebook page this Friday at 7:30 PM.
