Still using Equitel? Well, there is a new deal that will make you run for that SIM card if you don’t use it already. Equitel has today announced an all in one bundle that comes with both talk-time and insurance cover – Riziki Cover.
Riziki Cover, for the uninformed, is a mobile insurance product that insures customers against loss of income in the event of admission in hospital for three days or more.
Under the new offer, Equitel customers will be able to enjoy up to 500 minutes across all networks for as little as Ksh 1249 per month. Included in the offer is a free medical cover “Riziki cover” that will cover up to Ksh 2,500 per night in case a customer is hospitalized.
In addition to that, Equitel also has an offer that will cover a subscriber together with their family members. This costs a little bit more – Ksh 2499.
Under this plan, a customer will receive 1,000 minutes and a free Riziki cover for the subscriber and their family members. Things even get better with the Ksh 2500 entitlement per day if a subscriber or one of the family members loses income due to hospitalization.
Equity Bank hopes to get more users under its Riziki cover plan that currently covers over 280,126 Equitel subscribers. The mobile insurance product was launched in 2018, underwritten by Britam.
