Google Chrome Now Lets you share Tabs to your other Devices
Google Chrome version 77 was released officially last week packing in the ability to share your tabs to your other devices. The feature has been under testing since July this year, and public rollout began last week.
The new feature is a handy companion dumping the need to email yourself a URL or mess with the bookmarks, especially for those with poor bookmark management – unlike me.
To use the new feature tap on Chrome’s menu button and you will be presented with a share this page button on Android. For desktop users, you have to tap on the URL bar on Chrome, and you will notice a new icon at the end of the bar.
Tapping on the menu, you will be presented with other devices signed in using the same email address where you can share the page instantly. Alternatively, right-click on a link, and you will see a new context menu appear that lets you share the page to other devices where you also use Google Chrome.
The “send web page” feature comes handy in Chrome and is an addition to an existing feature in the browser that lets you browse open and recent tabs on multiple devices.
The new feature is available on both Windows, Android, and iOS running Chrome version 77. The feature is reportedly not yet enabled in macOS, but hopefully, it will also be available soon.
For Firefox users, similar functionality has been available for over seven months or so since February.
