Why You Should Upgrade to iOS 12.4.1 ASAP!
If there is a company that has been working hard to keep its mobile OS out of trouble with hackers is Apple. The company has been swift with updates on every single vulnerability that exposes the iPhone to jailbreaking. And once the company patches a flaw, it is doomed to be closed forever.
However, last week has been one of the rare instances when Apple reopened a flaw themselves. In iOS 12.4, Apple reopened a flaw that exposed the iPhone running on version 12.1.2 to jailbreaking. The vulnerability was patched on iOS 12.2 and 12.3 – surprisingly still works on iOS 12.4.
Seriously Apple, how do you fuck up in a way that an old patched exploit that doesn't work on iOS 12.3 and 12.3.1 works on 12.4? Like WTF.

The jailbreak works on iPhone 5s through iPhone 8/X running iOS 12.4 – newer devices are safe. According to Apple, the exploit was first reported to them by the Google Project Zero team.
Announcing the release of iOS 12.4.1, Apple states the new update is available for iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, and iPod touch 6th generation. To update to iOS 12.4.1 Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and tap “Download and Install.”
