Samsung Electronics has added the Samsung Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force to its PC Portfolio. The laptops, according to Samsung have been designed for users who want a premium experience—and enough hardware to get them through their daily work.
Both laptops have been crafted in a compact yet delicate “solidity” design with serious speed and power. The Notebook 7 comes in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch sizes while the Notebook 7 Force only comes in 15.6-inch display size. Whichever model you choose among the two you will still be presented with a minimal and functional appeal, durable solid metal frame, slim profiles with minimal bezels, and excellent portability.
We are not sure if or when the laptops will be available locally buts hopefully that will is going to be soon. Let’s look at each of the laptops:
Samsung Notebook 7
As we mentioned earlier the Notebook 7 comes in 13.3- and 15.6-inch forms. You’re also getting a choice of Intel 8th generation Core processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB SSD (NVMe) pre-installed. The larger Notebook 7 15-inch models can be configured with an Nvidia GeForce MX250, and also have a spare M.2. slot for adding more storage.
Both models come with almost similar features: 802.11ac wave2 2×2, 720p HD / Dual Array Mic, Stereo Speakers with Dolby Atmos audio with 720p HD camera for video chats, backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, 55Wh battery, and a minimal bezel FHD screen. Pricing for the Samsung Notebook 7 starts at US$999 which is roughly some Ksh.100,000.
Samsung Notebook 7 Force
The Notebook 7 Force, on the other hand, isn’t different from the 15-inch Notebook 7 model in terms of design. The main difference in the specs is the inclusion of an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650. It has also been upgraded to 24GB of DDR4 RAM (1x SODIMM + 4/8GB on board), an extra HDD/SSD install option, and an RJ45 Gigabit LAN port.
The Samsung Notebook 7 Force is also larger and heavier at 359.5 x 238.2 x 17.9mm and weighing between 1.85kg – 1.91kg. It also offers a reduced battery capacity of 43Wh. Pricing starts at US$1499 which should be roughly Ksh.150,000.
