The partnership lets Samsung license AMD Graphics IP and focus on advanced graphics and solutions across mobile platforms, including smartphones.
The partnership will enable Samsung “to bring groundbreaking graphics products and solutions to market for tomorrow’s mobile applications,” stated Inyup Kang.
The key terms of the partnership highlighted that AMD would license graphics IP based on AMD recently announced highly scalable RDNA architecture to Samsung. Also, Samsung, as part of the agreement, will pay AMD Technologies licensing fees and even royalties.
