Oppo K3 launched here are the specs, price and availability in Kenya

Oppo has been one of the companies that are continuously rolling out devices this year. And so far so good the company has released more than five devices in 2019. Apart from the recent oppo F11 and F11 Pro, Oppo has launched another device the Oppo K3. Oppo K3 has lesser under the hood as compared to the Oppo F11/F11 Pro devices. Here’s a quick overview of the Oppo K3 specs.

The device renders a 6.5 inch AMOLED display screen with FHD+ resolution featuring Corning Gorilla glass protection. The volume rockers and the power button are both nicely placed on the right side of the device. For the selfie camera, it is a motorised type just like what we’ve seen in other devices this year. In attribution to the motorised camera, you get a 19:5:9 aspect ratio.

For the optics side, the front camera is a dual set-up with a 16MP main sensor and a secondary 5MP in-depth lens. With this combination 4K, videos can be recorded comfortably at 30fps. The selfie camera is a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and features HDR mode snapping.

Under the hood lies an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor paired with an Adreno 616 GPU. Just like most 2019 flagships, runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie but for Oppo, you get ColorOs version 6 skin on top. The device is powered by a non-removable 3565mAh LiPo battery which supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

In terms of communication, basic Bluetooth 5.0  plus the latest USB 2.0 Type C connector are supported. That should not be an issue if you’re yet to go wireless since the Oppo K3 has a headphone jack. On the downside, Oppo K3 doesn’t support NFC.

The device is Dual SIM and comes in two variants an 8GB+ 128 GB variant and a 6GB + 64GB variant. Both options don’t support MicroSD, but that shouldn’t be a problem considering the internal storage offered by the device.

There’s a range of colours to choose from including Black, Nebula Purple and Morning White. Oppo K3 goes at a starting price of approximately $230 (about Ksh 23,500).

Availability in Kenya

The Oppo K3 was launched in China on May 23rd. Hopefully, Oppo will consider launching the device globally soon.
