LG Electronics unveiled its newest G and V series flagship smartphones at the Mobile World Conference 2019 in Barcelona. The company introduced the LG V50 ThinQ 5G, alongside the new LG G8 ThinQ.

The LG V50 ThinQ is actually the South Korean electronics giant’s first 5G device that should give consumers the ability to enjoy all 5G has to offer as soon as service becomes available. It comes with a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ FullVision OLED display, with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and packs a Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.

Additionally, though, LG has also built a secondary 6.2-inch display for the V50 ThinQ which you can attach to the LG V50 ThinQ to give you a second screen.

You’re also getting a triple rear camera setup on the LG V50 ThinQ which includes a 12MP primary lens, 12MP telephoto, and 16MP super-wide angle. The front shooter is also a dual camera, with an 8MP standard lens and a 5MP telephoto lens for clear selfies. The device comes with Android 9.0 Pie and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.

The primary camera is 12MP primary and telephoto lens, and a 16MP super-wide angle. The front camera has a single 8MP lens. The LG G8 ThinQ is actually the world’s first smartphone with advanced palm vein authentication, made possible by the combination of the ToF Z Camera and infrared sensors.

LG has still not said anything about the pricing for both devices and when we expect them to be available in the market. Hopefully we the devices will also find their way to Kenya as well.
