The Huawei Y9 (2019) unveiled in Kenya for Kshs 24,990


Huawei has today unveiled its latest device in the Y series, the Huawei Y9 2019. The device was launched today an event held at the Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi.

“We are delighted to announce the arrival of the Huawei Y9 2019 into this market’’ said  Huawei Head of Eastern Africa Mobile Steven Li during the phone launch. ‘’We believe that it will be a favourite, mainly amongst Kenyan youth due to its favourable price and superior features,” he added.

The Huawei Y9 2019 comes with a 6.50-inch notched display. It powered by 2.2GHz octa-core processor and runs on a Kirin 710 chipset with quad-core CPU, GPU Turbo and either 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Huawei Y9 (2019) packs a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

“This chic smartphone tailored for consumers, shows the perfect integration of high-end technology and style, as it incorporates the latest Kirin 710 octa-core chipset will allow for faster processing speed’’ said Steven.

The Huawei Y9 2019 will be retailing in the Kenyan market for Kshs 24,990 at all leading consumer electronics retail stores as well as on the Jumia.

Pre-orders for the device can be made on Jumia as well as other offline Huawei stores. The pre-orders will run from 18th October to 26th October and comes with an attractive gift hamper worth Kshs.8,000.
