The Infinix HOT S3X (Well, I wonder why Infinix decided to give this phone such a name) went on sale in the country a few weeks ago. The phone is the successor of the Infinix HOT S3 selfie smartphone which was launched back in June 2018.
Infinix is selling this device with the tagline ‘’Express Your True Self’’. The Infinix HOT S3X debuts better cameras with its AI enhanced XOS software and according to the company, it aims to empower consumers to “Express Yourself with Full View AI Selfie“.
The selfie camera is on the HOT S3X is 16MP and integrated with the latest AI technology and more pixels that is expected to completely transform selfie images. You also get a dual rear camera setup; 13MP and 2MP respectively with Bokeh Effect and Dual LED Flash.
Infinix says the HOT S3X marks an introduction of the next generation of Infinix smartphones that enhances intelligent lifestyle for users. It features a 6.2” HD+ 19:9 Full View Display and is also the first smartphone from the company to come with, well, a notch. The notch is now becoming a trend and we should, therefore, expect more smartphones being launched this year to come with this feature.

The HOT S3X runs on the Android Oreo operating system which has major feature upgrades that include battery usage optimization, wide color gamut, better Wi-Fi signal detection among other key benefits. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-Core processor, so you should expect some smooth performance while using the device. It is equipped with a 4000mAh battery and 2A Quick Charge combined with XOS, Infinix says the phone provides at least two days average usage. This is something I will be observing with the review unit I got from the company the other day.
The HOT S3X is available on X-mall or Infinix Mall which is Infinix’s new e-commerce shop in three shiny colors – Grey, Black and Blue, and at a recommended retail price of ksh 17,500.
