New Appointments: Lizz Ntonjira joins IBM as regional PR lead


Former NTV Business reporter and news anchor Lizz Ntonjira has joined IBM as the firm’s External Relations Lead for East Africa. The position was previously being held by Ms. Vera Oloo who resigned in August this year.

Ms. Oloo has since joined the World Bank where she is in charge of Public Policy, Partnerships, and Communications for the bank’s International Trade and Development division in Nairobi.

Before she joined IBM, Ms Ntonjira worked for Tax Justice Network (TJN) – Africa where she had a short stint as the Communications, Campaigns, and Outreach Manager.  TJN-A promotes socially just, accountable and progressive taxation systems in Africa.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Liz Ntonjira boasts of 10 years experience in Strategic communications and policy facilitation, experience she has gained within a number of roles in the public, private and international development sectors.
