Uber wants you to thank drivers using stickers after a good ride

Uber wants you to do more than just giving your Uber driver a five star-rating after a good ride. The company is updating its service app with a new feature that lets riders thank drivers with something extra- stickers.

This new feature which Uber is calling Compliments will allow passengers to send stickers to their drivers after a ride. This is basically to thank them for something like ‘’Good music’’ or ‘’Clean car’’ and is Uber’s way of making an effort to let their drivers know how they’ve helped the riders.

‘’Sometimes the small thingsㄧlike playing the perfect song at the right time or lending a hand with a heavy piece of luggageㄧcan make a big difference. We want to make sure that message gets through.’’ A blog post on Uber’s website reads.

Once riders send these compliments to the Uber drivers, they will receive notifications for each sticker they receive and will also be kept as a tab for the number of compliments they receive.

‘’It is Thanksgiving week after all—a time to be, well, thankful. We want to give riders the opportunity to thank and recognize drivers for the things they do to make the experience more memorable and fun’’ Uber says.

It seems like Uber had been working on the feedback feature for its drivers for quite some time and they seem to have finally decided it’s time to release it.  Remember the recent protests and lawsuits that the company has been facing, it was so obvious that Uber drivers felt like they were not being well taken care of. Uber has instead been working hard to make its products appealing just to riders.

We hope Compliments will change this and will also remain a standalone feature and Uber drivers will feel much more appreciated.
