IT Consulting Firm AITEC launches the 2016 ICT Summit


Top ICT managers will from 24th to 25th February be gathering at Oshwal Center for a two-day conference to discuss the power of ICT in East Africa.

Under the theme ‘’Inspire and Innovate’’ the summit will see the leaders discuss a number of issues in the ICT sector.

Confirming the event, Premier events management and IT consulting firm AITEC CEO Mike Otieno said “We are undeniably ready and on standby to revolutionize the way IT is perceived in the region. Today ICT is no longer the back office department but rather a strategic component of any business life line.” He added that AITEC is 100% ready for the summit.

The summit will be opened by ICT Cabinet Secretary, Mr.Joe Mucheru followed by an ICT Visionary panel discussion consisting of the ICT Secretary Dr. Katherine Getao, ICT Authority Acting CEO Robert Mugo, COO of Technobrain Anand Mohan, Group CEO-Kenya Commercial Bank Joshua Oigara and Eric Osiakwan, Managing Partner, Chanzo Capital, Ghana

“Our main concern has always been growing the transformative integrity and power that ICT has in the region. East Africa is the no one user in Africa in terms of internet use. Kenyans and indeed East Africans of our client data and we’ve been able to guarantee this”. Sean Moroney, AITEC chairman said.“We must therefore continue to nurture the ICT environment that underscores the value we attach to building secure, robust and scalable ICT infrastructure for the East African region”.

The two day conference will include ICT professionals and managers from Silensec, Payspace, Jubilee Insurance, Empire micro-systems, Infonet among others.

The conference will also see a new Anti-corruption App competition answering the question whether technology can be used to help fight corruption. There will also be a career fair where top Human Resource professions will be scouting for talent as well as a presentation of a revolutionary IT based supply chain financing media by Telemedia.
