Twitter Introduces ability to Embed Basic Two-Choice Polls In Your Tweets
For the past one month or so Twitter has been playing around with polls and yesterday the Social media site decided to roll the feature out. With this feature, users all over the world will be able to get public opinion on all subjects, and also track responses in real time.
In just a few steps, people can now weigh in on all the topics they care about. Of course this is different from the previous ways where Twitter offered a few ways to participate in polls. This included Tweeting questions and tracking replies, tallying hashtags votes or asking tweeps to favourite or retweet to vote.

However with this new Twitter Poll, Twitter says users will now be able to create their own two-choice poll right from the compose box and it will remain live for 24 hours. It is interesting to note that you can vote on any poll and how you voted will now be shared publicly, it remains your secret.
If you want a public opinion on anything – for example if you want to ask Kenyans on Twitter if they will vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta during the next elections then Twitter will just be the best place for you to get answers.
” For poll creators, it is a new way to engage with Twitter’s massive audience and understand what people think. For those participating, it is a very easy way to make your voice be heard” The company said in a blog post.
The company will be rolling out this feature over the next few days on iOS, Android, and on desktop at twitter.com
