The micro-blogging site faced a temporary outage the most affected people were Android users.
Users who tried to log into Twitter were only met with an error message and were not be able to get access to their accounts.
Twitter said the issue was due to ” a bug in our front end code, which has been patched”.
It however said that their engineers are working to resolve the issue.
