Lexmark has launched a new range of printers for small to medium businesses which the company claims bring enterprise-level features to the smaller office.
The Lexmark MS310/MS410 range will offer integrated colour displays and automatic duplex printing, energy saving modes, and Lexmark’s confidential print feature (which ensures that something confidential isn’t printed and left lying in the tray for anyone to potentially see, as the print job will only be carried out when the person who initiated it is at the printer and enters a PIN). Wireless printing is also an option, and Lexmark has a mobile Printing App on iOS and Android.
One model in the new range, the Lexmark MS415dn, will boast a 2.4in colour display, and will print at speeds of up to 38 ppm (pages per minute) according to Lexmark’s measurements. It’ll have a capacity of 300 pages, though an optional second paper tray will up that to 850. The printer’s maximum monthly duty cycle is 80,000 pages per month.
Marty Canning, VP and president of Imaging Solutions and Services at Lexmark, commented: “Small business needs the same speed, reliability and usability found in enterprise-level printers. The Lexmark MS310 and MS410 series offer unexpected features such as confidential print, network security and remote manageability that are designed to keep small business on the leading edge of print technology.
