Telkom Kenya is resurrecting its Kaduda smart feature phone series with Kaduda 4G phones.
After launching Kaduda 1, Kaduda Selfie, and Kaduda Smart, Telkom Kenya is back with Kaduda T-Smart. Kaduda T-Smart retails at KES 3,100 and runs on KaiOS, Google’s smart operating system for feature devices.
KaiOS on the T-Smart will ensure users can surf the internet via Wi-Fi and 3G/4G/LTE. Users will also have access to handy smartphone apps like YouTube, WhatsApp, and Facebook.
“The Kaduda 4G is a significant upgrade in the Kaduda series that will allow more of our customers to have access to additional features and applications not seen in the previous devices,” said Steve Okeyo, Telkom’s Managing Director for the newly created Consumer division.
Kaduda T-Smart will help address the growing demand for competitively-priced Internet-enabled devices, the company said.
Telkom Kenya is additionally offering free bundles and on-net minutes as a bonus. According to the company, current Telkom subscribers will get a free daily introductory bundle of 100 MB of Data for internet browsing, 100MB for WhatsApp, and another 100MB for Facebook. They will also receive 100 minutes Telkom to Telkom minutes daily for 30 days.
New subscribers will receive free 50MB data for internet browsing and another 50MB for WhatsApp, but they have to top-up their line with at least KES 50 worth of airtime. First-time subscribers will also get 50 minutes on-net, daily, for 30 days.
T-Smart will be available in all Telkom Kenya shops, countrywide, from tomorrow.
